Nylah DeWitt earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina, where she graduated with a distinction of honors in 2005. She went on to pursue her Master of Science in Educational Administration and Supervision at The Johns Hopkins University and completed her degree in 2007. Nylah is very passionate about education and considers herself a lifelong learner in the field. She loves teaching children about God and His world and is passionate about seeing her students excel as they grow in their love of learning. She has seven years of experience in education, teaching kindergarten, first, and second grades. Nylah also was an elementary reading coach in PASID before stepping into the role of assistant principal for two years. After the birth of her first child, Nylah decided to become a stay-at-home mom; during this time, she volunteered in the children’s department of Bible Study Fellowship teaching 2-5 year olds about God. Nylah and her family attend First Baptist Church, Beaumont where she and her husband serve in the children’s area together.
