Discover the Benefits of Classical, Collaborative Education with Beaumont's Fastest Growing Christian Private School
Veritas Classical Academy is the Golden Triangle's first and fastest growing Christian, classical private school. Our innovative collaborative model allows parents to participate in their children's education while retaining all of the benefits of a school community, at a fraction of the cost of a traditional 5-day school.
Our purpose at Veritas is to teach students to love God and to love learning for a lifetime.
We seek to partner with families by providing a distinctive Christian education, utilizing classical methodology and content, with a university-type schedule. On-campus classes meet two days per week, with at-home learning occurring on alternating days. Veritas Classical Academy offers classes for pre-K through 7th grade and will add additional grades each year until reaching 12th grade.
Veritas, as of September 2014, has 11 faculty members serving 49 students from 30 families; we are Beaumont's fastest growing Christian private school, with a nearly 300% annual growth rate over the previous 16 months. We are located inside Westgate-Memorial Baptist Church, adjacent to Sallie Curtis Elementary School, one of the safest locations in West End Beaumont.
For the 2014-5 academic year, Veritas may be able to accommodate mid-year enrollments for well-qualified families. Please contact us at 409-225-9107 to find out more about this option.
The first step to your child enjoying the benefits of Veritas is to attend an informational meeting; the next date is shown on the sidebar at the upper right hand site of the website. We are also pleased to offer a Weekly Open House. The best way to understand what happens at Veritas is to see it in action.
Christian Worldview - The school is Christ-centered. We aim to partner with parents to instill excellence of character and fill our children with Godly wisdom. We seek to provide an environment where children can celebrate the commonalities of the Christian faith. All of Veritas' board members, administrative staff and faculty ascribe to our Statement of Faith. We acknowledge Christ as both Source and Goal of all creation and history, and the Center of any discussion of truth, beauty, and goodness.
University Schedule - Children are with a trained, professional teacher in a classroom setting for 2 days a week. On alternating days, students are given detailed assignments which are to be completed at-home under the guidance of their parents.
Classical Curriculum - We follow an academically rigorous methodology that is based on the Trivium. It uses proven teaching methods which correlate with the child’s natural developmental stages (Grammar, Logic, & Rhetoric Stages), giving the child a broad liberal arts education.
Cost Effective Tuition - Tuition for the Classical Core courses which include math, science, history, language arts, and a classical language is $1600 per semester. Tuition discounts of 25% are available under a generous formula that ensures many middle class families will qualify. Payment options include monthly, semester and pay-at-once.
Veritas Classical Academy is a member school of the Association of Christian Classical Schools (ACCS) and the Christian Latin School Association (CLSA), and will seek dual accreditation through both organizations.
Interested families are encouraged to read more on this website and attend an informational meeting. We can also, by appointment only, offer a school tour so you can see the benefits of our educational model in action. Please contact us if we can help in any way.
